Dr. Gertz was born in Colombia and raised in South Florida from a very young age. She is fully bilingual and provides services in both English and Spanish. In 1996, she completed a bachelors of science in psychology from the University of Florida.
Dr. Gertz received a masters in psychology in 1999 and subsequently, a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in forensics in 2002.
Her completed her clinical training in New York through an APA-accredited Internship and Postdoctoral Fellowship with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Following her fellowship, she completed the one year Intensive Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Program from William Alanson White Institute in New York City.
In 2006, Dr. Gertz returned to South Florida becoming licensed to practice licensed psychology in both New York and Florida. She currently provides services face-to-face in Fort Lauderdale and online throughout both states.
Dr. Gertz’s goal is to take a very personalized approach to treating each of her clients both as a psychologist and as a life coach. Her treatment modalities are eclectic using a range of tools from psychodynamic theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, and neurological-linguistic programming to tackle several areas of your life whether it be your relationships, business, or personal development.
